What does home mean to you?
What a thought-provoking question from this week’s WP Post a Day theme. I’m suddenly reminded of two famous quotes we usually associate when we talk about “home” and I for one is a firm believer of those.
You see, when one is working miles away from home, with just a mere mention of the word brings back memories and creates a nostalgic feeling, it triggers homesickness which would eventually want you to pull time ahead so you could be there at an instant. Ahh…home…what a sweet music to my ears. Truly, “A home is where your heart is…”
There’s a different feeling when we are at home. There’s that sense of safety and security, the feeling of comfort and ease, something which we don’t get even when we are in the most luxurious hotel. Still, nothing beats what relaxation and contentment our very own homes can offer us.
It is a place where I started to dream and was inspired to work for it. Home for me is the very root of my whole being, the very foundation of who I am today and I profess that indeed – “There is no place like home”.
