The chance to travel is an opportunity that everybody would welcome especially if comes free. But only few are given such a lovely treat, most of the time if one wants to travel he has to save for it. So for a frustrated traveler like me, I just have to content myself in knowing the Top Ten Destinations in the World secretly wishing that someday I might visit even just one of these. “Hidden” inside the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park (PPSRNP) in Palawan, Philippines are the many stalactites at the ceiling of this spectacular natural wonder. One of the 28 finalists to the search for the New 7 Wonders of Nature, this longest navigable underground river in the world is also inscribed in the UNESCO’s List of Natural World Heritage Sites.
This giant mushroom figure is just one of the many amazing figures found inside the cave along with giant melting candle, giant carrot among others.

Imagine you witnessed a spectacular show done by nature right before your very eyes. You arrived at a place where everything around you is clear though the sun above hid behind the gray skies. Then, the next moment, you just see the mist coming through where you are creating a heavenly scene.
I had this experience recently in a holiday trip at Phu Hin Rongkhla National Park during the Thai Mother’s Day celebration. The feeling was divine. It was like being in heaven for quite a time when we could not see anything but the white mist surrounding us. I felt like an angel floating in the clouds.
It was a wonderful experience and I thought it’s perfect to land as a Wednesday White blog entry. So here it goes from me.

Here’s a deep fried fish from Penung Steak Haus here in Phitsanulok. There’s nothing fancy about the kind of fish but what is delightful to the eyes is the tempting way of serving it plus the spicy sauce that perfectly goes with this delicious recipe.

The giant Buddha in Bangsaphan Temple
Aside from Phuket and Pattaya, Thailand has a lot more undiscovered travel destinations that are worth visiting far from the maddening hassles and dazzles of the city. Prachuap Kirikan is one of them. It is a province situated 190 kilometers south west of Bangkok. This province is one the many places often visited by local and foreigners with its beaches and mountains and surroundings endowed with natural beauty.

October 2010 when the whole Foreign Language Department of my school took a trip down south going here and we headed in one of Prachuap’s small beach town called Bankrut. We stayed in a resort right in front of the white-sand beach and I had the chance to experience sunrise and sunset on the roof top of that cozy resort we checked in.

Added to the relaxing ambiance is the superb sea food we feasted on since day one. The Bangsaphan Yai (Temple) is one of the must-see places in here where a gigantic Buddha image is built overlooking the beach and the towns nearby.
Someday, I might just come back to experience Bankrut once again.
