I would rather have had one breath of her hair, one kiss of her mouth, one touch of her hand, than eternity without it.
- Seth -
He is an angel. She is a surgeon. He is an immortal and the other is human. But love e is so powerful that Seth (Nicholas Cage) gave up immortality on the chance to be with Maggie ( Meg Ryan). Seth’s freedom of choice brought him to Maggie’s world and he became every inch a human.

“Every day is a gift from heaven to be thanked for and to be enjoyed in the most possible way it should.”
When I read the topic for the day, I paused for a moment and try to recall an extraordinary Sunday I’ve had but nothing comes back to me and I realized that every day is a gift from heaven to be thanked for and to be enjoyed in the most possible way it should. Today may not be a perfect Sunday but I believe this is a day that is worth writing for.
I woke up from another house because I had a sleep over from last night’s regular Bible Study. The morning started right with few laughs with my good friends – Paulo and Herjy and a hearty breakfast of Adobo and Pansit courtesy of Ate Nancy – the other night’s Bible Study hostess.
On my way home, I had to drop Paulo and Herjy to the church. We were surprised to find out that the motorcycle could not pass through a certain point of the road because it was flooded so I had to carry them across the flooded street to get them to the church. I felt like Hercules! (Whew!)
After a short nap, I had an early dinner at KFC courtesy of Christopher. At 7:30 in the evening, I attended a holy mass at St. Nicholas Church and then here I am describing how my whole Sunday went on.
Nothing extraordinary happened but again, today is another miracle of life worth living and thanking for.
And you, how’s your Sunday?

When you think about nothing: What happens?
I laid myself back in bed setting all my thoughts to none. I wanted to feel my whole being and listen to my own heartbeat. The moment my mind was empty, my thoughts came rushing through. I began to think of home and how I missed to be there again to see the familiar faces of the neighborhood, to feel the cold morning breeze and burning mid-day sun. I began to imagine our yet unfinished house and I how I wanted it done. I have envisioned a room of my own and that of my parents to be fully furnished each with set of furniture such as TV, a mini-sofa, a small corner set and closets. Then, there goes my old folks and I realized I missed them so much. I saw their old faces in my mind and I just wanted nothing but hug them both. I felt some tears flowing down my cheeks…
You see, when you are in a foreign land and is reminded of home – that’s what happened. Just when I think of nothing, I think of home…and it made me miss my family even more.
